[Solved] xfce4-panel crashing whenever it tries to show Japanese/Chinese words

Hi there!

So I noticed that xfce4-panel crashes every single time when it has to show chinese/japanese words in the bar.
This problem is directly related with "Window Buttons", which shows the windows names at the xfce4-panel bar.

Strange thing is that the Window Manager is able to show all those words flawlessly.

Is there any fix other than restart the panel every single time after it crashes?

PS: I'm using a 64bit Arch based Distro (Manjaro)

Thanks,
amonobeax

There is this existing bug report.

Also of interest might be this Arch thread with a solution of installing appropriate ttf fonts (which leads to a rebuild of the font cache, which might be the underlying issue).

Blazing fast reply thanks man.

Installing ttf-droid from my distro's repp worked like a charm nothing else needed.

Thank you mate! Peace.
