non PAE support

I just installed LXLE 12.04 32 bit on a friend's old laptop because it was the only Ubuntu derivative I could find that still supports non PAE CPUs. Is non PAE iso's  likely to continue on the next release?

We have non PAE support in MX-14 based directly on Debian Stable, not via Ubu Roi.

Black Lab Linux 5.x 32 bit has non-PAE support in it and is XFCE based.  Its the only XFCE based UBUNTU derivative with non-PAE support.

I've read that Mint 17 will run on non-PAE CPUs if the user presses Tab at the boot menu to edit the boot arguments and adds forcepae to the end of the line.

Interestingly, I also read that Black Lab version 6.0 will not support 32-bit systems at all (PAE or non- ), and that several other distros might be taking this step.
