PPTP "connect actomatically" option missing

Hi, I'm running debian Jessie with XFCE.
In Wheezy with Gnome, while usinng the pptp-network-manager-gnome package, I had the option to select a PPTP account to connect automatically. That option is missing with XFCE, apparently.
Is there some way to enable it or some work-around for the lack of this feature?

Other than that, I'm wery happy with XFCE. After some tweaking everything works as I needed. I only find this missing.

Thanks in advance.

Re: PPTP "connect actomatically" option missing

IDK whether or not Debian uses the same connection software as Mint. If it does, edit the one that you are interested in connecting automatically via, and you'll find such an option under the general tab.

I'm sorry I cannot be more specific right now, but I'm using my cell phone instead of a computer.
