fn keys freezes my xubuntu

Hi,

I use Xubuntu 64 bit 14.04 in my Samsung NP350V5C notebook.When I press fn buttons to change volume level or brightness level, Xubuntu freezes and I must reset it. Is there any solution for this problem?

When you say "Xubuntu freezes", what exactly do you mean? Do the mouse and keyboard freeze? Can you still ssh into the machine?

There is this existing bug report that sounds similar with a workaround that you might want to try.
