Distrowatch needs to be updated.  Version 5 is no longer based Debian, but is based on on Arch.
I have been testing for a few days.  It is very smooth and includes an option to install on a USB with persistence. 
When I installed to hard drive the first boot gives you the option to boot to Xfce or Steam desktop.
