disable touchpad on lenovo y50

I've got  Lenovo y50
I would like to diable the PS/2 Elantech Touchpad at times.
Please advise.

Hi

This http://www.maketecheasier.com/disable-t … in-ubuntu/ works on my Lenovo U410 and does not appear to be hardware-specific. I have it set up so that if a mouse is plugged in the touchpad is disabled, and viceversa; there are other options. Run the menu option 'Touchpad Indicator' to get it on the panel.

thanks  no luck with the repo when I did an apt-get update
