Keyboard Application Shortcut fails with whitelisted sudo command

I am trying to run a command via a keyboard shortcut. it works fine in the terminal, but when I create a shortcut for it, it does not seem to run at all. Is there a way to see the terminal output of a shortcut command?

EDIT:

I tried another variation of the script and got the same problem. The script calls a command with sudo, but that command has been whitelisted in sudoers (for all users). If I run it from a user shell, it executes without prompting for a password. Is there some problem with sudo in application shortcuts? I have verified the command is executable for all users.

I am using XFCE 4.10, Fedora Core 20.
