Keyboard Backlight not saving setting

I'm noticing that the keyboard backlight on my laptop, in Xubuntu 14.10, isn't being saved.  I can set it just fine on 14.10 (wereas on 14.04 it never lit up).  When the laptop sleeps, it returns just fine when it wakes.  But what I am finding, is when I cold boot, the keyboard backlight is seemingly always set to 0%.  I can turn it back up and it stays up just fine.  But how can I get it to save the setting I chose before it shut down last time?

Re: Keyboard Backlight not saving setting

Here is a link to a site that describes a general procedure for saving and restoring keyboard backlight settings over reboots. Naturally, you'll need to fine tune the script for your specific needs and settings, but it should work.
