Greetings. I wonder what state is currently developing XFCE. I searched the Internet and I have not found anywhere to talk about it. Is development is still active? Do they need developers? Is there hope for a new release? It would be interesting to know these things to seek help if needed.

You must have missed the "What's New in Xfce" thread directly above yours, lol.

Development IS active. They could probably use additional help (as most volunteer-driven projects can). You can find the XFCE email lists here:

OMG! My bad LOL..
So this means we will have version 4.12 at some point. I am glad, though I think it should join other projects as RazorQt or LXDE, and porting XFCE to Qt. But that's a personal opinion.

Yes Elav, actually the Xfce development has been very active recently, with several development releases of xfdesktop, xfce4-power-manager and xfce4-session, you can look up those on the git tree of Xfce, but also they have created a Github repo mirroring that one to make easier for possible contributors to push request, you can found it here . In addition to that, a not so long time ago they have set up a list of blocking bugs for the 4.12 release which can be found here.
