Setting video mode only works using xrandr or 10-monitor.conf

Hello,

I am migrating from Windows Server 2003 to Arch Linux and by default, the anlaog VGA output of the GeForceFX9500 only works at 1024x768.

I can set it to 1920x1080x60.00 successfully using the following command:

xrandr --output VGA-1 --mode 1920x1080_60.00

I can also set ist to this resolution using the following line in 10-monitor.conf:

Option "PreferredMode" "1920x1080_60.00"

However, when I change the video mode in the "Anwendungsmenü->Einstellungen->Anzeige" of the XFCE GUI, the monitor gets blank for half a second and I can only select reslutions 1024x768 or lower. The 1920x1080 is listed in the menu, but it falls back to the lower resolution if selected.

Is this an issue with XFCE?
