Hey there. I've find a few annoying issues and I can't seem to be able to find fixes.
1)xfDesktop on dual screen is randomly reseting icons positions on reboot.
2)Sometimes one of the two screen isn't managed with xfdesktop at all. Redimensioning with arandr again and again sometimes result in having the second screen managed (by that I mean I can move icons to it).
3) Drag 'n drop a file from xfdesktop to thunar result in a copy. Drag 'n drop a file from thunar to xfdesktop just move the file.
I'm using archlinux, so everything should be pretty much up to date. Did you step accross one of theses too, or am I the one only experiencing this ? I tried theses on two different computers, same glitches. I'll try Xubuntu, see if that's arch related.

A couple of these are well-known bugs.

There was a significant change to the desktop settings design and screen management in xfce4-settings 4.11.3 (Arch currently has 4.10.1 in its repositories but you can install the newer version through the AUR).
3) Drag 'n drop a file from xfdesktop to thunar result in a copy. Drag 'n drop a file from thunar to xfdesktop just move the file.

In its default install, Xubuntu will have newer versions of the Xfce packages. You can get the same on Arch by using the AUR.

Thanks a lot for the complete answer ToZ ! I was really getting worried to see so much people say everything worked and personnaly I had such an hard time regarding xfdesktop ! :s
I did even tried to use "pcmanfm --desktop" but I stumbled across another bug (duplicate desktop on the two screens). I was really thinking that theses stuff where buggless for a casual/normal utilisation that I was thinking more likely to see the problems coming from the hardware or such.
I'll compile xfdesktop-git then
