My name is Greg I have been a Linux user for a little over a year. I still have one dual boot machine but the other three are all Linux. Two are Manjaro (so is the other half of my dual boot) and this machine is Arch. I had run Arch in a VB here lately and thought this laptop would be a good place to install it. I really like the OS but am not crazy about the installation process. Quite a bit different from what I have been used to. Personally, like XFCE, Arch is my choice and I doubt that will change. I have tried all the other systems when I was a lost distro hopper. I just don't care much for any of the others.. If I were to have to go to another OS it would probably be Mint.
I run XFCE on All of my boxes. I don't see why anyone would use anything else for a DE.
I am usually hanging out at cupoflinux.com. It is a great community and there is lots to learn there, for folks like me anyway. Drop by and take a look around.
Have a nice day.
