Hello everyone,
Not sure what will be my next post, or if it will be any time soon, so I decided to simply to say hello and tell you about my commitment to xfce. I started playing around with linux in '98 and have since used it at home. In 2007 I made a bald choice to install linux at work... This has got me in trouble every once in a while, but I am still exclusively using linux in a microsoft/mac production world. I went through Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Solyd, Mint, Debian pure, and am currently using Mint Xfce. The first couple of years I used Gnome 2, but since the madness hit Gnome, I started using xfce - and I really can't see myself moving away from it! It does exactly what I need.
Cheers! Ciao, Hans

Welcome
That's because Gnome DE is heavier than xfce they've install many useless app(specially logic games) that I don't need.
I've experience that when install from debian
LXDE maybe lighter but not flexible to customize the panels.
