We were doing final testing of a point release this morning, and ran across a curious problem. Two script-based applications that use a terminal and need root access (but with different methods: su -c and pkexec) fail with an error message of "Failed to execure child process (file or directory not found" when a menu entry is used; this does not happen from a terminal or from our MX Tools dashboard. After an hour or more of 4 devs tracking, the only solution we could find was to comment out the TerminalEmulator=xfce4-terminal line in ~/.config/xfce4/helpers.rc
This did not happen qith 4.10, and if we roll back the 4.12 upgrade those menu entries function again wtih the default helpers.rc (where Xfce terminal is specified). Does this make sense to anyone? Can anyone confirm this behavior?
