Looking for Xfce equivilant to Mac OS X hot corners or Brightside

OS X has a useful feature called "hot corners" which allows setting one or more corners of the display to perform an action when the mouse pointer is moved there. For example, when I am running OS X, I set the lower right corner to sleep the display.

I have done a little reading into Brightside and Compiz.

I also see that hot corners has been discussed on this forum before, in 2010. Before I went installing Brightside, I thought it wise to ask if this feature had been integrated into Xfce in the past 5 years?

Thanks.

you either need brightside or compiz there is also another lightweight example at the gentoo wiki that should work, too: http://gentoo-en.vfose.ru/wiki/Fluxbox#Active_edges

i was using brightside quiet while, from all the available solutions it's most simple one as per my judgement and worked flawlessly because of that >> i think there is no dependancy at all ...

just 2 cents ... think also about xdotool and wmctrl ... combo these three can do a lot and has practicaly no ressource consumption at all
