Setting new installed XFCE4 as default

Hello,
I just build XFCE 4.12
with
./configure --prefix=${PREFIX} && make && make install

into a directory $HOME/xfce

what do I have to do to make the new installation to my default XFCE ?

is it just to add $HOME/xfce/bin to in my $PATH ( e.g. in /etc/profile )
and then start the right version of startxfce4
or is something else to change?

thanks
Jürgen

Re: Setting new installed XFCE4 as default

you probably need to add the libpath to your ldconfig
