Is there anyway to get rid of (non-application) icons that are automatically placed on the desktop? I know I can get rid of Home, Trash, and FileSystem in the desktop settings, but there are a bunch of other icons that I will never, ever need to use.... Such as "54 GB Volume" which is a non-mounted partition that should contain Windows but doesn't. And mounted partitions of my last boot and root partitions (boottrust and trusty). These would be the same items shown in the left column of Thunar, but I really don't need them on the desktop.
Thanks!

In the same section where you have the option to hide the Home, Trash, and Filesystem icons, there is a checkbox for "Removable Devices". Does unchecking that remove those links from your desktop?
If not, which distro and which version of Xfce are you using?

Wow.... thanks... Ya know, I've been to that section many, many times and I never scrolled down past the 'trash' checkbox....
Running 4.12 and that did the trick! <slaps forehead and blushes>
