Hi,
I have thunar set up with an sftp path to access my server and allow me to edit config files in a graphical editor on my desktop. In the past things worked fine-- the text editor I set as the default (gedit) for text file types opened the config files.
Sometime over the winter I updated my desktop, thunar is currently version 1.6.3. I am just now, for the first time in several months, editing config files on the the server.
If I open the local file, e.g.: /etc/ssh/sshd_config , thunar opens it in gedit because it recognizes it as "plain test document" (from right-clicking on file in thunar and selecting "properties")
But, if I open the remote file sftp://root@myserver.net/etc/ssh/sshd_config , thunar opens it in a different applications and reports it as the kind "unknown".
I don't get why it isn't working, why it can't figure out the mime type of the remote file?
