[Solved] xfce4-terminal buffer scrolling up with enlarge/shrink cycle

Hello there,

1) start xfce4-terminal
2) fill up at least one full screen with output (e.g., do "ls -la" couple of times)
3) enlarge the window vertically (e.g. maximize it or simply resize)
4) and then shrink the window vertically (unmaximize)

The command line has now moved up, which is a nuisance.

Is there a way how to prevent this "scrollup", i.e. to have the command line fixed relatively to the bottom edge of the window, during the resize?

In other words: when the terminal window is being enlarged vertically, I would like it to scroll down as much as possible (show more of the output buffer), and only when all of the output buffer has been shown, extra empty lines would appear at the bottom.

Re: [Solved] xfce4-terminal buffer scrolling up with enlarge/shrink cycle

Perhaps related to one of these two bugs reports?

- https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11828

If so, perhaps you can add your comments to the report(s).
