Semi-Transparent bar with XFWM4

This is a very slight annoyance that I started to notice recently; but whenever I log into my xfce4 environment and I'm using the default window manager, there is this bar that stretches across the entire screen. Changing window managers fixes the annoyance, but I would like to use xfwm4. Has anyone else with this problem found a solution?

Go to Settings - Window Manager Tweaks - Compositor and uncheck 'show shadow' under dock windows'
