[Solved] add in date/time to panel that was installed with the OS

Well, after three days of fighting other time display problems so  I removed the date/time off of the panel. I do not see a method to get this back on the panel on the Desktop.
I think this is installed when the system Xubuntu 14.04 is installed. I went to the Software center and installed a time  but that is not what i am looking for.
I really don’t want to re-install the OS again, this would be the third time :-(
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I changed the file manager to nemo, don't know if this makes any difference.

To add/re-add a panel plugin to the panel, right-click the panel and select Panel > Add New Items. Locate and select the DateTime plugin and click on "Add".
