Hello.
I'm a newbie in linux so I might have some basic questions.
When I was compililng xfce-4.12.0 I got this message:
checking for libxfce4util-1.0 >= 4.10.0... not found
*** The required package libxfce4util-1.0 was not found on your system.
*** Please install libxfce4util-1.0 (atleast version 4.10.0) or adjust
*** the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
*** installed the package in a nonstandard prefix so that
*** pkg-config is able to find it.
So I downloaded libxfce4util-4.12.1 and compiled it. What should do I now to avoid getting the message above ?
Just so you know, I had had libxfce4util-4.10.1 and I removed it in order to replace it and I don't know how to go ahead now.
Thanks! Tomas.

Installation Instructions
Instructions not filled in by author. Author knows what to do. Everybody else should avoid this repo.
LMAO!

That's standard on copr, they are user created repos. If the creator doesn't fill in instructions it defaults to that.

OK, what's the easiest way to get Xfce 4.12 on CentOS 7? I may need to install CentOS on my laptop, but I want to stick with Xfce.

Any advice in this post is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I would suggest this copr https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs … 412-epel7/ as it was created by an experienced Xfce packager in Fedora

OK, I think I know who put that there and can ask him for instructions. If I do need CentOS, I'll remember this. Thanx.

It's not difficult to contact him. You can check his FedoraProject account or just comment on http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=308791 I've always found him very helpful.

Facebook is out of the question because I've never been there and don't plan on starting now. I recognize him from the Fedora Forum, and was already planning on asking him there.

Facebook was never mentioned . The forum would be the best place.
