missing taskbar (Panel?) [SOLVED]

I lost the bar at bottom of the screen that shows what programs are running.
I think it is 'Panel'.
When I try to run Settings->Panel nothing happens.
What is the command it is trying to run so I can run it from the command line?

Re: missing taskbar (Panel?) [SOLVED]

I'm not absolutely sure from your description, but I'm guessing xfce4-panel. It sounds like something killed the panel in a session and then you shut down or logged out with the "save session" box checked. If xfce4-panel gets it up and running, make sure you save the session again when you log out so that the panel will come up next time you log on.

If what I'm talking about doesn't do anything for you, please post back with precise information about your Xfce version and exactly how you have your desktop set up so that someone can do a better job than me of helping you.
