Where is Network Center / Network Manager? / Fonts

Using Muon Discover, updated Kubuntu 14.04 to 16.04
Installed XFCE on Kubuntu.
"Network" in "System" doesn't work
Have been using Ethernet at a library, have wasted time researching.
Finally installed Wicd Network Manager which seems to work.
Why make it so difficult, I see something similar has happened with LXDE.
Also with Fonts.
Had to search around to get fonts bigger than miniscule.
Thanks.

Re: Where is Network Center / Network Manager? / Fonts

Hello and welcome.

Xfce doesn't include any network managers. Most distros include one as part of their over-all experience. You've found one, wcid. Another common one is NetworkManager. I'm not sure what ' "Network" in "System" ' is or means. Perhaps its a KDE/Plasma app/utility? Not including an Xfce-specific network manager is not making it difficult, there just isn't a need to re-invent the wheel if quite capable Network Managers already exist.

Xfce font configuration options can be found at Settings Manager > Appearance > Fonts (for GTK font settings) and Settings Manager > Window Manager > Style (for the window manager).
