display settings revert to default on reboot

Hi- I'm a new xfce user, and have a problem where the display settings reset to 800x600 from 1440x900 on reboot.
I've tried to create a profile as a possible solution, but although it seems to be saved, it doesn't show up in the list.

I'm using Manjaro Linux v20.1.1 as a guest on a MacBook Pro Retina Vbox host.

Graphics look fine at 1440x900, but I have to reconfigue my display on reboot.

I've seen this listed in some of the archived Manjaro forums, but the suggested fix doesn't work. Other than some permissions issues with LightDM greeter, everything else is great.

Thanks for any insights you might provide.

Re: display settings revert to default on reboot

Hello and welcome.

This sounds like a Virtualbox issue. Have you tried their forums?

Hi- Yes, I've posted on their site, no answer yet. I'm not sure how vbox comes into play on this issue, as it's only happening on the XFCE guest. The Gnome guest works fine.

Okay thats interesting. Can you post back the results of:

xrandr

...before and after you correct the resolution?

As well as:

xfconf-query -c displays -lv
