Hello :)

Greetings from Poland smile
After a while of lurking, I thought it will be nice to say hello. I'm pretty young Xfce user and most of my knowledge comes from the forum, but maybe I'll be helpful in something smile

Re: Hello :)

At the moment, I'm pretty much set up smile

...additional knowledge you can get from experience actually using and configuring XFCE

After two years spent with openbox, I've decided to move to full environment and recreate previous config. It was challenging to learn how things works in Xfce but in exchange writing shell scripts is much easier smile

Re: Hello :)

i have a similar experience but in C, bash, and Python.  i've forgotten most of the assembly i knew (IBM mainframe days).  i know a little less of XFCE than i need to know but i have things the way i like it (customized and simple).

Re: Hello :)

i have a similar experience but in C, bash, and Python.

I had written everything for POSIX first, but after switching to Xfce I rewrote everything to bash. C and Python is something I want to know better to put my crazy ideas into normal GUI instead of molesting zenity and jgmenu all the time big_smile

I've noticed that there is a plugin sample in Xfce repo, and maybe, somehow, I'll be able to create something with its help. Unfortunately, I need a working example to understand what is actually going on :lol
