Highlighting an icon on the dfrsktop by c;lickng on it

Hi dear all
My doubt is about the way XFCE behaves when we highlight an icon on the desktop by clicking on it.
The  shows a transparent rectangle ccovering only the name of the icon beow the icon symbal. In the case of desktop envionments like
KDE, GNOME. WINDOWS 7 etc  it shows a transparent square covering both the icon symbol and its' name.
(Screen shots attached ). is it possible to bring that effect on xfce ?. Is it possible to make the XFCE to cover
the icon and its name by a transparent square when the icon gets highlighted by clicking on it  ? (like in KDE )

Your GTK theme overrides the default styling (highlight both the icon and text label).

@lastonestanding, as far as I can tell, we can only affect the icon and label separately, but not the cell that contains them. Setting a background colour for the image only affects the dim colour laid on top of the icon, not the background of the image.

Perhaps I'm not finding the correct combination of CSS settings, but is it possible to target the cell that contains the icon and label so we can give it a semi-transparent fill like in Windows/KDE? Or alternatively, apply a semi-transparent fill to the background of the image?
