Where to save system-sounds in my home, so that they are available?

Hello,

I know, that in the folder "/usr/share/sounds/" we have the system-sound themes, that are available via -> settings -> systemsounds.

Question:
But is there a way, to save my systemsounds in my home?

I have tried "/~/.local/share/sounds" .

But the sounds in this folder were not available in -> settings -> systemsounds after.

Would appreciate some answer. Thank you.

~/.local/share/sounds is the correct location.

This is not an Xfce setting/tool. Which distro is using this tool? Exactly what is it called? It might have its own configuration location.

Thank you for the hint. I will check this issue with my distro.
