Creating a block for custom menus in Whisker

My Whisker menu consists of categories on Left side and their content appears on right side.

Currently, I have two main parts: the top part made of Favorites, Recently Used and All Applications, and the remaning block that is done of the remaining menu entries like Settings, Accessories, Development, Games, Graphics and so on.

Is it possible to create a "block" separated from this bottom block part, placed before it, where I can put my two custom menu entries?

Hello @erieldfisher . The provided link does not show how to manage my use case above. Do you know if it is possible?

@eriefisher is correct - that link talks about how to do it. Basically, if you create new desktop categories, they will be added to that list of categories, in alphabetical order. Using the procedure we discussed here, if you change the "<Name>" field in the ~/.config/applications-merged desktop file to make it something like "00-Toz Apps", then it will show up above the other categories.

Thank you for the answer ToZ. There is no a way to not show that "00" and keep the category still on top of the other ones? For example if I want to keep ToZ Apps (and not 00-ToZ Apps) on top of the other categories?

Its sorted alphabetically. Numbers before letters. Unfortunately, there aren't many options.

It is a pity there is no chance to custom the sorting of elements.
