4k monitor and increasing task bar fonts

Hi all,

I'm sure this will have been asked before, but since you can't search for "4k" I am probably missing previous discussion.  I'm playing around a bit with QubesOS but one of the things that stops me adopting it over Linux Mint is the fact that I can't get the XFCE taskbar to be more readable on a 4k 27" monitor.

I have tried the solution discussed here -

https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=6576

But it didn't help.

In particular the problem I have is that the drop down menu items have a tiny font (not affected by font size changes in display settings GUI) and the application boxes also have a small font.

Does anyone know if there is a definitive location where these font sizes are set and can be modified please?

Edit: I have a workaround that I am happy with for now using xrandr fractional scaling -

xrandr --output HDMI-1 --scale 0.5x0.5

Running xrandr without arguments will show the possible output labels.  I've put this into .bash_profile so that it runs on login.  In QubesOS this has the additional benefit of scaling the qubes too without having to change each template.
