Window keyboard shortcuts not working (v2)

Hello everyone,

I’m continuing from this thread: https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=17102. I’m experiencing an issue with XFCE window-manager keyboard shortcuts.

Problem

I configured shortcuts under Settings → Window Manager → Keyboard, and they worked initially. After a reboot and logging into a new session, all preconfigured window-manager shortcuts stopped working. I reset the shortcuts to defaults but the problem persists.

What I’ve tried

• Manually configured shortcuts in Settings → Window Manager → Keyboard

• Rebooted and started a new session

• Reset window-manager shortcuts to defaults

Can you share which distro and version of Xfce you are running?

Is it all of the /xfwm4/custom/ keyboard shortcuts that don't work, or just some. If some, can identify one or two of them?

I don't think so, they are aware of each other. But that doesn't mean there may not be a bug there.

Possibly. Do you have another shortcut manager running, or maybe xbindkeys?

If you have an ~/.xsession-errors file, there maybe something in there. Or if you have a systemd-based system, you could look in the user journal.

Also have a look through current (open and closed) xfwm4 bugs (filtered on keyboard AND shortcut) to see if anything related exists.
