Trying to use the online help
https://docs.xfce.org/help.php?version=4.20&locale=C

results in:

Secure Connection Failed
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Can someone please give a feedback on this whether you see the same or not?

I don't get any errors

you must have old ca-certs your distribution will update those for you

for me in debian it's in the security repo

$ sudo apt search ca-cert
[sudo] password for user: 
Sorting... Done
Full Text Search... Done
ca-certificates/oldoldstable-security,now 20250419~deb12u1~deb11u1 all [installed,automatic]
  Common CA certificates

it says you have "windows 10" and "firefox 115" next to your name, so.. you probably need to get your ca-certificates upgraded, or if you can just ignore it, that works too.

I try to use http actually, but websites are starting to refuse http connections.

some websites will start refusing you service, unless you have like at least firefox 130-135 right now, and they're basically constantly developing (the ".com" web) new ways to block people from behaving independently of the design of their own web coding (web service)

And what does that tell us:

ERROR: Could not open a connection to host docs.xfce.org (217.70.191.87) on port 443 (connect: Permission denied).

Needless to note that docs.xfce.org is the only host I'm experiencing such. If all other sites let me connect and this little site which should serve to help does not - WHO needs to hear the alert bells?

Or maybe your old unsafe version of openssl is the problem.

What you call "old unsafe version" is the static linked version in sslscan.

Well meantime the alert bells DO ring here locally, as it most probably is a configuration problem of my Firefox
