[Solved] Panel - Duplicate Power Icon in Notification Area

This is really just a curiosity question. I'm using Mint16 and in the notification area there are 2 separate icons that both have the same power options right click menus. The left hand one actively changes to show the battery remaining/mains/recharging status but the other is simply a blue square with a smaller grey square offset. I can't find any reason for it to be there (and its not actually doing any harm) but I'd really like to know what its for?

Regards
David
